Fall SOL Testing Information
The Fall SOL test administration begins December 2. Students who have passed a course, but not the corresponding SOL will be given the opportunity to take or re-take SOL tests during the Fall testing window. Students who are scheduled to take an SOL test were mailed a letter indicating which test or tests they are eligible to take. Students not needing additional SOLs for graduation may opt out of testing by completing and returning the bottom portion of the letter to the Counseling Office. Additionally, any student enrolled in Night or Virtual classes will test in January.
Students taking SOL tests are reminded that no electronic devices, backpacks, or personal belongings are permitted in testing sites. The testing schedule for December is available here. If you have any questions please contact the Testing Coordinator, Mr. Mathison, by email at mathismj@pwcs.edu

Sports Concussion Education Training
All middle and high school student athletes and their parent/guardian are required to complete an annual Concussion Training according to Prince William County Public School Policy 759. As there are sufficient differences in the way concussions will be handled at the middle school and high school levels, a parent having children in both middle and high schools are required to attend both a middle and a high school presentation. Students and their parent/guardian have two ways to receive this concussion training. 1.)Face to Face Training- High school parents and students who are entering 9th grade and trying out for a sport for their first time in high school or are new to Prince William County Public schools must attend a face to face concussion training at their respective school. Click here for the face to face meeting schedule. 2.)Online training- Beginning June 22, 2014, parents and students who have already attended a face-to-face training may take this year’s mandatory concussion training online. Rising 6th grade and 9th grade students and students new to Prince William County Public Schools are not eligible for the Online Training. Start the online training.
