After-School Procedures at WSHS
To ensure the safety of all WSHS students and staff, all students must be under supervision of a teacher, coach, or sponsor if they are in the building after 2:30 p.m.  Study Hall will be held in the Upper Cafeteria from 2:30-5:00, Monday-Friday, for students who need someplace to wait for an event to start, or a ride to pick them up.  Students who have events with a start time later than 5:00 are asked to leave the building and return, unless their individual activity sponsor or coach makes arrangements.  Students who are in the building after 2:30 without supervision will receive a referral for being out of bounds.
The WSHS administration, faculty, and staff thank you in advance for helping us keep the building secure at all hours.
Sports Concussion Education Training
All middle and high school student athletes and their parent/guardian are required to complete an annual Concussion Training according to Prince William County Public School Policy 759. As there are sufficient differences in the way concussions will be handled at the middle school and high school levels, a parent having children in both middle and high schools are required to attend both a middle and a high school presentation. Students and their parent/guardian have two ways to receive this concussion training.
1.) Face to Face Training:
High school parents and students who are entering 9th grade and trying out for a sport for their first time in high school or are new to Prince William County Public schools must attend a face to face concussion training at their respective school. If you are unable to attend a scheduled Face-to-Face Concussion Training, the parent and student have the option to complete an online presentation for the first time participant as a high school student.
2. Online training for returning high school students (those who have attended a HS face to face training) will be available after June 20, 2015. The parent and student are to complete the training together if completing either of the online training.  A completion certificate is printed out, signed by the parent, and turned in to the athletic trainer (or secretary at school). Start the online training.
