To help every student at Woodbridge Senior High School be successful, tutoring is available after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays for English, ESOL, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Students do not need to sign up or register. Beginning Tuesday, September 15th, students are welcome to attend tutoring any Tuesday or Thursday at 2:15 p.m. by reporting to the Math area. Staff will be available to assist students in locating appropriate tutorial classrooms. In addition, there will be announcements made and signs posted around school. There is no cost involved. In addition, transportation is provided at approximately 3:45 p.m. to take students that live within WSHS district home. If your student is having difficulty with a homework assignment, has been absent, or is just “not getting” a new concept being presented in class, this is a great way to keep on track. This is one more opportunity for success.

 

Additional tutoring opportunities are available if a student schedules this in advance with his or her teacher. Many teachers make themselves available before or after school on a regular basis. A student should check with his/her teacher for times. Some of our student honor societies also offer after school tutoring on designated week days. Our commitment to academic success and excellence means that we want to do all we can to help students and parents.

 

This year our free Activity Bus, for students living within the Woodbridge district runs on Tuesday and Thursday beginning September 15^th.  Students who stay after school for tutoring, meeting with a teacher, making up work, or participating in one of our numerous extracurricular organizations may ride the Activity Bus.
